Have you been sneezing too much lately?Probably you are having allergies. These allergies could be caused due to two reasons. First the air in the house is too dry and that’s causing allergies or the air is too moist making perfect environment for the mold to grow. These situations usually happen during winter months. But that doesn’t ,mean that summer months are free of allergies. Summer can also boost mold growth due to high humidity.
So how can one get rid of mold growth. One of the best ways to get rid of mold is by using vinegar.
Bathrooms: The ideal places where mold can grow is near the tub, sealing underneath the faucets, in the grout of tile floor, on shower curtains etc. You can also mop your bathroom with vinegar so there is no chance for mold to grow. Using a spray bottle, spray the areas where the mold is and than scrub that place to get rid of the mold.
Kitchens: Most common place where mold is found in the kitchen is in the cupboards since it’s dark and moist. Clean your sink with vinegar since remnants of the food are likely to be found there. Clean any thing which comes in contact with the food, with vinegar.
During the summer months when it is hot and humid, using air conditioner is an excellent choice for getting rid of the mold. Humidity has to reach 65- 70% for the mold to grow and by using air conditioner it will control the humidity in the home. There are devices out there such as hygrometer, which is used to measure relative humidity. In the winter months, use a dehumidifier to control mold growth in your home.
