Before You Move in Your New Place…

So you are ready to move in your new place. Before moving from the house, cleaning is the most daunting task which requires quite a lot of effort. Removing stubborn stains and marks can be the hardest thing to do while preparing to move. However, many stains can be removed by using common household items.

* Marks which are on woodwork can be removed with pencil eraser. Another option is by using toothpaste. Toothpaste is not just for cleaning teeth only, you can use it to remove stubborn stains made by ink, crayons, scuffs etc. It’s also great for removing crayons from glass or any like surface. Just rub the toothpaste gently and than scrub, to clean or clear the glass.

* You can use “oxy” based cleaners to remove unwanted paint from furniture or any woodwork. Scum stains, dried toothpaste ans lime scales can also come off easily using oxy based paste.

* To remove any mold or damp smells from the house, simple leave bi-carbonate of soda in an open tub in a cupboard or refrigerator and the smell should be gone within 24 hours. You can also use baking soda to clear any smells not just before you are moving but by continuous use of it there should be no bad odor in the house.

* Do not mix cleaning products. Most of them contain ammonia or bleach. If combined the fumes generated could be deadly and they could cause ugly stains or marks when applied to any surface. Use cleaning products as they are instructed.
